Just love on people....that's it.

Happy International Women’s Day! This day has me thinking of all the women who have positively impacted my life as well as some who have challenged me in the best ways possible.
The last year of my life has been one of major growth, heartbreak, renewal, and a fresh perspective on what success really looks like.
I would love to encourage you, the reader, to run after the things in life that you’re passionate about with purpose and love in your heart. I put these things on hold for a time when I held my mentors up on a pedestal and placed their thoughts and opinions above my own...above my own intuition (Holy Spirit). I ignored the small voice inside me that said- GOOOOOO!!! Start living!
I got so used to the idea of “Crushing it”, “Beast Mode”, “Hustle”....after all, that’s what you have to do to be successful, right?....For me, that was SO wrong.
I missed out on some important moments with my family. My work became an idol. My husband has always loved me but there was a year or two in there where he didn’t like me very much. I didn’t like me very much.
I spent several mornings on my knees praying that I would have clarity and peace over what the purpose of my life was. It was in the moment of letting go control that I got my answer. God’s favor has been pouring out in every aspect of my life. My marriage is blossoming, I’m present and living in the moment with my children, I’m being true to who I am, and I am meeting people who I know were meant to be in my life for such a time as this.
I would remiss to not mention my mom in this post. She has always been my biggest cheerleader and has kept me in touch with reality while at the same time encouraging me to chase my dreams. It’s because of her that I will have a brand new website for my very own business, ALLISONmary Image Consulting. She is a constant in my life...along with Ben, Chase, and Mia.
I want to pour out my appreciation and gratitude to all of my lady friends and guy friends who have been unconditionally supportive of me...even when I stumble and make weird decisions.
I want to encourage you to get honest with yourself. Lean on the strong women in your life....you know who they are. ;)
It’s important for us women to come together and be supportive of one another even when it doesn’t benefit us in some way, shape, or form. It’s important because it’s the right thing to do.
I will end with this quote because I love it and all of the best women in my life are a shining example of this: “It is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict, God’s job to judge and my job to love.” -Billy Graham
